Industry Analyst Firm Selects Livelink Classifications for All-Around Excellence

Known as "Basey", this award is given to companies in the Collaborative Business Knowledge market who have achieved industry-leading and all-around excellence for a product or service in 2002.

The Basey Award, presented at Basex's Fall CIO Summit on October 1, 2002 in New York City, is awarded to Open Text for Livelink Classifications, in recognition of the product as a leader in the management of unstructured content.

This allows content to be structured in ways that fit a user's perspective on the information, so a business case for a new product, for example, can be classified in two ways to fit the different perspectives of a product engineer and a marketing manager. Livelink Classifications also lets users assign records management classifications to documents that must be retained and managed according to specific records management policies.
