Thought Leaders Share and Capture Best Practices, Development Strategies Using Open Text's Real-time Collaboration
Chicago, IL - 2002-06-17 - Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX, TSX: OTC), provider of Livelink®, the leading collaboration and knowledge management software for the global enterprise, today announced the formation of the Knowledge Management Advisory Board (KMAB), a working forum comprised of knowledge management thought leaders and industry experts dedicated to the advancement of successful knowledge management strategies. The board members use Livelink® MeetingZone to conduct meetings. Using a standard Web browser, the members of the KMAB are able to collaborate in real-time, build relationships and capture the exchange of ideas in Livelink for future reference, without ever leaving their offices.
Hubert Saint-Onge, one of the world's most recognized experts on knowledge management, is the chairman of the KMAB and promises to help make the board a focal point for growing industry discussion on collaboration and knowledge management strategies and the increasingly important role they play in business success. Saint-Onge is the Senior Vice President, Strategic Capabilities for Clarica and, in this role, he chose Livelink to organize and manage the massive amount of business critical information at Clarica.

The charter members include knowledge management practitioners from Booz Allen Hamilton, Capital One, CGI, Hewlett Packard, Northrop Grumman, Philip Morris, and Siemens. Following the agenda of the meeting provided in MeetingZone, the newly formed Board was able to quickly orient itself and begin to participate in discussions.
