Open Text Executives Present Strategic Corporate Direction

Toronto, ON - 2001-12-13 - Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX, TSE: OTC), a worldwide leader in delivering collaborative knowledge management (CKM) solutions, today announced that members of the financial community attended the Company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) via Livelink MeetingZone over the internet. On Thursday, December 13, Open Text hosted its AGM at the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) Conference Centre in Toronto, Ontario, where members of Open Text's senior management team presented an overview of corporate successes over the past year, as well as Open Text's strategies for future growth and profitability.

Highlights included an overview of the 10-year history of Open Text, including a focus on the evolution of Livelink®, the company's core product. Also noted was the 10 year revenue growth of over 1000%, an achievement solidified by fiscal year 2001 revenues of US$147.7M.

Corporate presentations were followed by demonstrations of Open Text's latest product innovations, including Livelink MeetingZone, collaborative technology for hosting dynamic meetings in real-time, and Livelink® 9.1, the newest version of Open Text's Web-based collaborative knowledge management solution. Last month Livelink MeetingZone received a great reception at LivelinkUp , Open Text's User Conference. Executives discussed the company's relationship with Pfizer, a major corporate customer of Livelink MeetingZone.

Other highlights included the availability of Livelink Certification .
