Open Text Recognizes Excellence in Enterprise Collaboration and Innovation
Waterloo, ON - 2001-11-13 - Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX; TSE: OTC), a worldwide leader in delivering collaborative commerce solutions, announced the winners of the first annual LiveLinkUp Awards at Open Text's annual user conference, held last week in Las Vegas, Nevada. More than 1000 people participated in the LiveLinkUp 2001 conference, which featured in excess of 200 sessions and introduced Livelink® 9.1, the newest version of Open Text's end-to-end, Web-based, collaborative knowledge management platform.
Open Text also successfully launched Livelink MeetingZone , a dynamic, real-time collaborative environment for online meetings and conferences. "With organizations re-evaluating corporate strategies, MeetingZone provides a cost-effective and favorable alternative to travel," said John Shackleton, President of Open Text. "Open Text took its first sales order for MeetingZone during the user conference last week, an indication of the current demand for the product."
Open Text honored the winners of the first annual LiveLinkUp Awards. Celebrating Open Text's 10th anniversary this year, the LiveLinkUp Awards recognize the customers and partners who have contributed, through their own innovation and versatility, to Open Text's success over the past 10 years.

Document Management Solution Vision Service Plan (VSP)
VSP created the Livelink Document Importer; a solution designed to automate the storage of VSP contracts and renewals within Livelink. Demonstrating increased efficiencies, the solution automates manual processes for document management and archiving, while ensuring consistent quality and availability of key documents
Records Management Solution Conoco Conoco's Livelink for Records Management (iRIMS) solution effectively manages risk in the organization and supervision of corporate records. Barcoded transactions facilitate secure access to records, while ensuring authorization.
Library & Catalog Management Solution Canadian Heritage Information Network
The Virtual Museum of Canada, developed by the Canadian Heritage Information Network, has created a branded collection of content developed by museums to assist audiences to navigate distributed resources. BASISPlus databases enhance their ability to protect and leverage these intellectual assets.
Business Function Application Novare
Novare has extended the functionality of Livelink to create a complete product lifecycle automation and portfolio management application. The application accelerates new product development; helps organizations manage geographically dispersed product development teams and addresses the need to reduce unnecessary spending on research & development.
Value Added Utility Application PVA (Professional Value Added)
PVA has developed an application with a value-added component to Livelink. The company's Face to Face application empowers users by integrating Livelink with the AVAYA collaborative video software for meeting and conference participants.
