Open Text's newest Livelink product package provides a means for enterprises to gain competitive advantage by enabling individual knowledge workers to be proactive in their search for business-critical information.

In today's knowledge economy, the considerable amounts of new information that individual knowledge workers must process can be overwhelming, often causing them to spend vast amounts of time trying to find the information they need. The Livelink Personal Knowledge Discovery package is a proactive, online search and retrieval package that reduces the amount of time required for locating key data.

By scanning information inflows on behalf of individual knowledge workers, the Livelink Personal Knowledge Discovery package integrates Livelink technologies to provide knowledge workers with immediate access to new information that is critical to their roles in the organization. The package allows individuals to set up automated tools to scan a variety of information sources and immediately advise them when these sources have been updated with critical information.

• e-mail notification of the existence and location of pages or documents that match personal search queries,
• the Livelink Personal Knowledge Discovery package dramatically reduces the delay between the publication of business-critical knowledge and its discovery and use by people who need it.
