After conducting detailed evaluations, the DG BANK (Schweiz) AG decided in favour of Open Text s collaborative platform. Livelink s fully Web-based architecture and rich, standard functionality met the bank s requirements by more than 90 percent.
The most significant features required by the DG BANK (Schweiz) AG included:
- Easy-to-maintain document access rules
- Easy-to-use, fully Web-based user interface
- Document management, search and version control
- workflow definition and automation
- project and content management
When compared to the solutions IntranetNow! from Amrein Engineering and Virtual Object Store from Conexus Logical, Livelink consistently rated highest. According to the DG BANK (Schweiz) AG, when compared to IntranetNow!, Livelink s standard functionality met 94 percent of its requirements.
User acceptance of our Livelink-based intranet solution is very high. Above all, its integrated news channels, dashboards and personal workspaces have been extremely well received, said Martin Schiffauer, director project intranet at DG BANK Schweiz. Furthermore, Livelink has enabled us to reach all our qualitative goals, with respect to knowledge transparency and effectiveness.
DG BANK (Schweiz) AG is currently planning to extend its corporate intranet to include an extranet, providing partnering banks with access to critical information and news. Future plans also include the design and implementation of well-defined workflows in the back office and service areas, as well as the integration of external information services.
