Livelink Records Management Solution Receives DoD 5015.2-STD Certification

Newest Product Version From Open Text Meets Government Standards and Criteria for Electronic Records Management

Chicago, IL - 2001-02-22 - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX)(TSE:OTC.TO), a worldwide leader in collaborative commerce software for e-business, today announced that its Livelink Records Management Solution (iRIMS ) has successfully completed the Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2-STD certification testing. Having previously certified Livelink Records Management Solution in October 1998, the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) has ascertained that the newest version (iRIMS 9.0) also meets government standards for electronic records management applications.

JITC assessed compliance with the mandatory requirements and optional features specified in the DoD 5015.2-STD, also known as "Design Criteria Standard for Electronic Records Management Software Applications." Certification testing evaluated product complexity and flexibility, focussing on search and retrieval capabilities, process dispositions, as well as report and auditing functions. The assessment also included the solution's ability of integrate with vendor-specified applications.
