Under the terms of the agreement, the collaborative knowledge management capabilities of Livelink® will be united with the Drag and Relate technology of TopTier s eBusiness Integration Portal.
Extending Open Text s strategy to support collaborative commerce (c-commerce), the integrated solution serves as the foundation for collaborative e-business applications, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM). Our alliance with Open Text will enable our customers to dynamically correlate multiple applications with Livelink s collaborative strengths, said Joe Zarb, Senior Vice President of Marketing, TopTier. By unifying the Livelink workflow, enterprise group scheduling, and virtual project workspaces within the TopTier eBusiness Unification Platform, management and staff users will be able to seamlessly access e-business content with e-commerce transactions from a single Web interface.
Through TopTier s unified interface for business information and processes, Global 2000 organizations can further leverage their investments in Livelink and core enterprise applications. For example, during a CRM transaction, an end-user can locate all relevant customer information stored in the Livelink repository simply by dragging a customer identification number from SAP and relating it to a myLivelink window. The single step Drag and Relate method provides an easy, fast and efficient means of extracting information from an organization s Livelink database.
