About Feeds
Atom feeds or RSS feeds use technology that makes it easy to get all your news in one place, rather than having to visit different websites each day to find the latest information. In a nutshell, news feeds bring news on the Web to you. Web surfers coming to an organization's site can click on a feed icon 
and sign up to receive news, using either software or an online service known as an aggregator. The aggregator polls the feeds on a regular basis and alerts the user of any updates. Users can then simply select from a menu of news and point their aggregators to items of interest.
